
Lisa Brokop is a Surrey, British Columbia born singer and songwriter who has been a fixture in Canadian country music since the early 1990s. She broke through as a teenager with her debut single “Daddy, Sing to Me,” which reached the Top 10 on Canada’s RPM country chart, then built momentum through the decade after moving to Nashville and signing with major labels. Her 1994 album Every Little Girl’s Dream produced staples like “Give Me a Ring Sometime,” “Take That,” and “One of Those Nights,” and was certified Gold in Canada, while later hits such as “Better Off Broken” became some of her highest charting Canadian singles. Over a long-running career of recordings and touring, Brokop has earned multiple CCMA Awards and repeated Female Artist of the Year nominations, culminating in her selection as a 2025 inductee into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame.
