CCMA EDI Statement

The core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to who we are at the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA). As we work towards an industry that is representative and supportive of all artists, teams and fans, we are committed to cementing these values as an integral part of our culture, with the goal of creating sustainable change in the country music space and beyond. Maintaining an equitable and inclusive environment is essential to our success, and we honour every member of our community and welcome them with fair opportunities that celebrate and honour differences in race, ethnicity, gender identity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, religion, ability, language, age, size, and more. We understand that upholding these standards is imperative to achieving our mission, and that in order to evolve the genre and music industry as a whole, it is crucial we listen to feedback from our staff, members, and community, challenge those who reinforce exclusionary practices, educate those who want to be agents of change, and take meaningful action to foster an environment where everyone can see themselves reflected. Canadian country music has  rich and complicated history, and cultivating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive CCMA is critical to its future.

While we appreciate your interest, submitting a Volunteer Application Form, does not guarantee an applicant a spot on our Volunteer Team. All approved volunteers will be notified by email, and sent directions regarding next steps.

We appreciate your time and commitment to making this event a success!
